COVID19: Huge spike in cases as 13 test positive in J&K today, toll reaches 33

Srinagar, Mar 28: In a sudden spurt in coronavirus cases in Kashmir, as many as 13 COVID-19 positive cases were reported in Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday. Those included 10 in Kashmir and three in Jammu division. The huge increase takes the total number of coronavirus positive cases in Kashmir to 25 and in the entire J&K to 33. Thirty of them are active cases, one patient has passed away, while two have recovered.  “Tough to be harbinger of unpleasant news. But being informed is being prepared. 7 more positive cases in Srinagar today. 4 cases- history of contact with already positive cases of religious congregation; other three- travel history outside J&K contacts being traced,” tweeted Government spokesperson Rohit Kansal.
