Enforcement drive held against traffic violators

GULMARG: In an effort to promote safer road practices and reduce traffic violations, a joint team of officers lead by CEO Gulmarg Waseem Raja and accompanied by Tehsildar Gulmarg, officers of Motor Vehicle department,Traffic Department,Police and municipality today launched enforcement drive in Gulmarg to curb the problems of traffic Jam, wrong parking and to ensure hassle free flow of traffic for convenience of tourists.

The enforcement drive was carried out to encourage active engagement from the community, including pedestrians, and public transport users in promoting a culture of responsibility and adherence to traffic laws.

During the drive, the team checked hundreds of vehicles and also imposed Challans of Rs 35000 to many offenders for wrong parking and other traffic violations.

As per a statement issued by CEO Gulmarg the enforcement drive was part of measures aimed to address issues such as illegal parking, traffic flow management, and pedestrian safety enhancements. In upcoming days, such drives will be conducted twice a week to curb the menace of wrong parking and other traffic violations.
