Quoting official sources, news agency GNS said that gunmen fired upon Sameer Ahmad Mir son of Wali Mohammad Mir at his home in Hanjan Payeen village of the district.

In the incident, Sameer suffered serious bullet wounds and was shifted to the nearby district hospital where he succumbed to the injuries.
