Avoid congregation Friday prayers: Srinagar Mayor

Srinagar: Mayor of Srinagar, Junaid Azim Mattu has requested people to avoid congregational Friday prayers tommorow in the wake of coronavirus scare prevalent in Jammu and Kashmir.

“I’m of the FIRM opinion that congregational Friday prayers should be avoided and disallowed tomorrow. There is no distinction in “congregation” – whether religious or not. In the absence of such an unambiguous order yet –I Request people to avoid congregational prayers tomorrow.” he tweeted.
