Srinagar: Avalanche Warning Issued for Six Jammu and Kashmir Districts

Following recent snowfall in the Union territory, officials have issued an avalanche warning for six districts in Jammu and Kashmir. The alert specifies that avalanches with a medium danger level are likely to occur above 2,400 meters in Poonch, Baramulla, Bandipora, and Kupwara districts within the next 24 hours.

Additionally, officials report that avalanches with a low danger level are expected above 2,800 meters in Doda and 3,500 meters in Ganderbal districts during the same period.

Residents in these areas are strongly advised to exercise caution, take necessary precautions, and refrain from venturing into avalanche-prone areas, as emphasized by the officials.
