Reliance Jio to launch 5G smartphone: Check price, specifications, and more

 According to a report in Android Central, Reliance Jio is reportedly working on a 5G smartphone.

The country’s largest telecom service provider is likely to will launch later this year.

The 5G-enabled phone from Jio is likely to be priced around Rs 10,000 and offer users 5G plans. The pricing may be similar to JioPhone Next, an upfront cost and the other with EMI. The plans may be similar to the current offered with JioPhone Next, starting tier is likely to be different. Reliance recently said that it has readied a plan to offer 5G connectivity in 1000 cities in India.

The display is expected to be bigger at 6.5-inch IPS LCD HD+ (1600 x 720). The phone may get a side-mounted fingerprint

The report said that the phone will support N3, N5, N28, N40, and N78 5G bands once Jio’s service goes live. The smartphone will run on PragatiOS, same as JioPhoneNext

The smartphone will be based on Android 11 and come with support for Google Play services and Jio Suite of apps.
