Srinagar, Mar 16: The political atmosphere in Srinagar saw some seismic activity on Friday afternoon as reports emerged of BJP pointsman on Kashmir, Ram Madhav, landing in Srinagar.
Sources say that Madhav arrived in Srinagar in a private plane and drove away in a private vehicle without a police escort.
Unconfirmed reports said that Madhav met two top security officials. Whom else he met was not known but his presence certainly created buzz among the BJP-PDP circles.
As per sources, Madhav was supposed to arrive in Jammu on Friday for a party meeting but a Srinagar visit was not part of the programme.
Madhav was the co architect of the PDP-BJP alliance along with the ex-Finance Minister Haseeb Drabu.
Officially, no one confirmed or denied Madhav’s brief Kashmir stopover.
