Police in Sopore, North Kashmir, displayed a commendable act of humanity on Tuesday morning by rescuing a pregnant woman amidst heavy snowfall. The woman, who was in critical condition, was safely evacuated from Zethan to PHC Dangiwacha, thanks to the prompt response from the police.

The rescue operation was initiated following a distress call from Shamshad Ahmad Mir, a resident of Zethan Dangiwacha, requesting urgent medical evacuation for his pregnant wife. Due to the heavy snowfall over the past two days, the road was completely blocked, making vehicle movement extremely difficult.

In response to the distress call, a rescue team led by SHO Dangiwacha Inspector Jan Mohammad was swiftly deployed. Despite the challenging conditions, the team successfully reached the location in time and safely evacuated the patient to PHC Dangiwacha.

The timely action and dedication shown by the Sopore Police in rescuing the pregnant woman have been appreciated by the local residents. The incident highlights the importance of quick response and preparedness, especially during adverse weather conditions, to ensure the safety and well-being of individuals in need.
