Srinagar: As Srinagar and other parts of central and south Kashmir received fresh snowfall on Saturday, the administration of the summer capital advised motorists to drive carefully as the roads have become quite slippery.
Srinagar woke up to a few inches of fresh snow even as it was already struggling with the heaps of ice left after a heavy snowfall earlier this week.
The fresh snow was beaten up by the moving vehicles making commuting on roads and by-lanes difficult and risky.
Srinagar administration tweeted that the clearance operation was on and snow was being removed.
The fresh snowfall also disrupted the air connectivity as several flights were either delayed or cancelled by Saturday noon.
Officials at the airport told The Kashmir Monitor that the runway was not available till 2 pm.
