UP cadre IAS officer deputed to J&K

Srinagar: The Government of India has approved inter-cadre deputation of UP IAS officer Nitishwar Kumar to Jammu and Kashmir for a period of one year.  

The Appointment Committee of the Cabinet on Sunday approved deputation in an official order which read: “The Appointment Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal of Department of Personnel and Training (AIS Division) for Inter Cadre deputation of Shri Nitishwar Kumar, IAS (UP: 1996) from Uttar Pradesh to Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir for a period of one year, in relaxation of policy”.         

Kumar, an IAS officer of 1996 batch, has worked as private secretary to LG  Manoj Sinha when he was Union Minister in BJP-led central government.  

According to sources, Kumar is likely to be given an important assignment in the UT of J&K.
