Shopian youth, Srinagar boy injured during clashes

Srinagar, Aug 10: A youth was injured during clashes with government forces in Tukroo village of Shopian Friday afternoon while as a minor boy was critically injured during clashes in downtown area of Srinagar, reports said.
According to reports, one youth identified as Fayaz Ahmad Padroo son of Ghulam Mohammad was hit with a bullet during clashes at Tukroo village of Shopian district.
The injured youth was referred to Srinagar hospital in a critical condition, sources said.
Padroo was hit by a bullet in his abdomen when government forces allegedly opened fire upon protesters during clashes, a local resident said.
Meanwhile, a 13-year-old boy identified as Shariq Ahmed Sofi resident of Gilli downtown in Srinagar was injured after he received Pellet injuries during clashes with government forces in downtown area of Srinagar after Friday prayers.
The injured boy has been shifted to a Srinagar hospital. His condition, at the time of filing this report, was stated to be critical.
