Gone are the days when cricketers’ popularity was only confined to what they achieved on the cricket field. After having millions of followers on social media platforms like Instagram and Twitter, cricket stars have now started conquering the world of Tik Tok too.

And who’s going to turn out your favourite entirely depends on their entertainment skills. Mind you, when it comes to putting up a show, you can never beat a cricketer.

So you might not be a big David Warner fan but if you happen to see his ‘Butta Bumma’ family dance on Tik Tok, you’ll watch it again and again. The popular Telugu number that became a rage with Allu Arjun’s moves, surely needs to give some credit to the Warners for taking it across to new audiences. And that’s not all, the swashbuckling Australian opener has caught a lot of attention for dancing to the tunes of ‘Sheila ki jawani’, ‘Muqabla’ and ‘Why this Kolaveri Di’. If not for the lockdown, Warner would have been playing as the skipper of Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL around this time.

However the fastest growing sensation on Tik Tok is India’s Yuzvendra Chahal. He might seem to be the most unlikely social media sensation, but truth is that he’s been creating the funniest videos during the lockdown. No wonder then that he has over 5 million followers on the entertainment app.

India’s very own Pathan brothers are also quite popular for their videos on social media and  together Irfan and Yusuf can boast of over 3 million followers on Tik Tok. Irfan seems to be more dynamic here and his videos range from jokes to cars. What they both share equally is their love for animals.

Meanwhile, Rawalpindi Express Shoaib Akhtar has decided to relive his bowling memories on Tik Tok. He’s posted videos of his best yorkers and is also been giving tips about staying home and making the most of it.

And when it comes to having fun on social media, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma shall always be the champions of the game. This cricket-Bollywood partnership seems to have the best of skills from both the worlds. So on a lazy morning Anushka acts like a crazy fan asking Kohli to hit a boundary. While another day Virat acts like a dinosaur on the loose.

Image experts believe that such activities not just keep the cricket celebrities motivated, but they also help them share a light moment with their followers which further helps grow their popularity and strengthen the bond with audiences. So while this app is a Chinese entity too, as long as everyone is entertained, ‘Sab kuch Tik-Tok hai’.
