Srinagar: Professor Shakil Ahmad Romshoo of Department of Earth Sciences University of Kashmir has been appointed as new Dean Research of the varsity.

As per an order issued by the University, Professor Zaffar Ahmad Reshi of Department of Botany shall complete his term of three years as Dean Research.

“Professor Shakil Ahmad Romshoo Department of Earth Sciences has been nominated by vice chancellor to function as Dean Research for a period of three years from May 13, 2020,” the order reads.

Professor Romshoo has research interests including in Hydrology, Glaciology, Geoinformatics and Climate Change.

Similarly Professor Bashir Ahmad Khan, Department of History has been appointed as Dean School of Social Sciences for a period of three years.

While Professor Shamim Ahmad Shah Department of Geography and Regional Development has been appointed as Dean School of Earth and Environmental Science for a period of three years.
