Football legend Cristiano Ronaldo spent $ 67000 to light up Burj Khalifa in a bid to impress his girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez on her 28th birthday.
The Manchester United star took to Instagram to share a video showing the light-and-laser show at Burj Khalifa during which a clipping from Rodriquez’s latest Netflix docu-series, titled, ‘I Am Georgina’ was showcased.
“Many congratulations, my love,” he wrote in the caption along with a heart and cake emoji.
The video has already garnered 23.7 million views on Instagram. The promotional has cost footballer $ 67000 for Ronaldo, whose net worth is £370million.
The light-and-laser show not only displayed a montage of footage from Rodriguez’s Netflix series but also concluded with a birthday message for the 28-year-model. It flashed Rodriguez’s photo in an off-shoulder black dress and said ‘Happy Birthday Geo’ in big white lettering.
The couple is currently in Dubai with family, holidaying in the English Premier League’s winter break. The model’s show ‘I Am Georgina’ debuted on Netflix and is an in-depth portrait of Rodriguez as a mother, influencer, and businesswoman and delves into her love story with Ronaldo, and shows the flamboyance and luxuries of her daily life, as well as her not-so-flourishing past. Ronaldo also makes a cameo in the series.
Ronaldo has a four-year-old child, Alana Martina, with Georgina. In October, the couple revealed that they were expecting twins — a boy and a girl.
