Infidelity isn’t a considered illegal in many countries; but is it a punishable offence?

Doesn’t this incident prove that law isn’t worried about women taking law into their own hands? Did the news content portray the violent woman as a criminal? Why not?

What if the violent person was a guy? How would the law or the news have reacted?
