Upload employees’ data on CPIS, GMIS portal by Sept 25: Finance Deptt to DDOs

Srinagar, Sept 12: The Finance Department has called for urgently uploading data of all the employees on the Centralized Personnel Information System (CPIS) and the dedicated software for Group Mediclaim Insurance Scheme (GMIS).

According to the circular instructions issued by the Principal Secretary Finance, Navin K Choudhary, full data pertaining to each regular employee is required to be uploaded by all the DDOs on CPIS by 25 September 2018.

“Data for around 3 lakh employees has been uploaded on CPIS already and the same would prove extremely useful for career management of the employees,” said the circular adding that the Finance Department is also in the process of working out an arrangement with J&K Bank to provide government employees concessional loans and other banking benefits on the basis of CPIS data.

The Finance Department has also called for immediately uploading the data of each and every employee alongwith their family members in the dedicated software for the Group Mediclaim Insurance Policy. The Scheme was approved by the State Administrative Council last week.

“The data for 2.90 lakh employees has so far been uploaded in the Group Mediclaim Insurance software and it is imperative that the process of uploading of data is completed immediately as the scheme will become operational l October2018,” the circular said.

It said the pensioners opting for Group Mediclaim Insurance, should get the required proforma filled up and workout the arrangement with the concerned J&K Bank Branch for deduction of premium from their pension.

According to the circular, Director Finance/FA/CAOs of all the departments shall personally monitor the progress and intimate the Finance Department for completion of the exercise by 25 September 2018 so that no employee is denied the benefit of these two important initiatives.
