Tassaduq Mufti reviews status of Pilgrimage Tourism project

Srinagar, FEB 26: The Minister for Tourism and Culture Tassaduq Hussain Mufti today took a comprehensive review meeting regarding the Tourism Pilgrimage of the state here.
Seeking details regarding the ongoing developmental works regarding Pilgrimage Tourism of the state being executed by various agencies including J&K Lakes and Waterways Development Authority (LAWADA), Jammu And Kashmir Projects Construction Corporation (JKPCC), J&K State Cable Car Corporation (JKCCC), J&K Housing Board, Jammu and Kashmir Tourist Development Corporation (JKTDC) and J&K Small Scale Industries Development Corporation Limited (SICOP).
The concerned departments presented Power Point Presentations highlighting all the pilgrimage infrastructures in Kashmir Division, Perspective pan, pilgrimage tourist activities undertaken in 2017-18, besides the action plan for the next financial year.
The Minster sought district wise report of the development projects for pilgrimage tourism development being executed by the departments and stressed for installing proper lighting system, landscaping and beatification in and out sides the shrine premises keeping in view scientific and satiable methods of development.
Besides various developmental projects the Minister was informed that crore ambitious Hazratbal Dargah development project being executed at an estimated cost of Rs. 42 is going on at full swing, besides mechanized tensile structures for shading will be installed soon.
Later the Minister also visited Makhdoom Sahib Shrine to take stock of ongoing development works, besides taking stock of requirements to renovation and restoration damaged infrastructures at the shrine.
The Ministers inspected various sections insides and outside the shrine premises and interacted with the locals to hear grievances regarding various issues.
Vice Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Waqaf Board Nizam-u-Din Bhat, Managing Director JKPCC, Managing Director J&K Housing Board, Director Tourism were also present in the meeting.

Div Com discusses DPR preparation for Srinagar-B’la-Uri four-lane road

Srinagar, Nov 05: Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan, today chaired a meeting of concerned officers to discuss the preparation for the formulation of Detailed Project Report (DPR) for development of Srinagar-Baramulla-Uri four-lane road.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner, Baramulla, Dr G.N Itoo; Additional Commissioner, Kashmir, TassaduqHussain Mir; ADC Baramulla; Chief Engineer, Beacon; SE (Civil), Commander, 760, BRTF and other concerned officials.

Calling the project a ‘prestigious one’, the Div Com instructed the concerned officers to take all technicalities in account while formulating the DPR. Various bottlenecks and constraints in this regard were also discussed during the meeting.

 

On the occasion, Div Com directed Chief Engineer, Beacon to explore possibilities of re-alignment of Srinagar-Baramulla-Uri road at four highly built-up spots in consultation with Baramulla District Administration. He also asked the officials to assess the feasibility of construction of bye-pass at Pattan and Baramulla and a flyover at Sangrama.

Div Com directed DC Baramulla to constitute teams for joint survey which will include representatives from the concerned agencies.

DC Baramulla was also directed to conduct weekly review meetings and furnish action taken report to be submitted to Div Com office on weekly basis.

He also directed the concerned officials to ensure that the consultancy engaged for the projects is made available at an earliest. CE Beacon was also asked to place indent of the road before DC Baramulla for the purpose of land acquisition.

40 thousand quintal firewood to be supply to mosques

Srinagar, Nov 05The Chief Conservator of Forests, Kashmir took a review of firewood and winter stocking at P.C. Depot Srinagar.

He was accompanied by Conservator of Forests, Srinagar Circle, Divisional Forest Officer, Urban Forestry Division and Range Officers.

He was informed that forty thousand quintals of firewood have been stocked for supply to Mosques in Srinagar District.

 

The CCF directed the concerned officials to start the supply of firewood immediately to 1350 mosques already registered with the department for heating purpose for the coming winter season.

He Directed the concerned to complete the distribution process of firewood well in time as per the targets.

JKPSC declares results of KAS Mains-2018

Srinagar, Nov 05: Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission today declared results of Combined Competitive (Mains) Examination (2018) held by the Commission from July 22 to July 29, 2019.

The Commission today issued a notification having list of candidates who have qualified for Personality Test for which the dates shall be notified separately.

The Personality Test of successful candidates shall be held in the office of the Commission at Resham Ghar Colony, Bakshi Nagar, Jammu. The e-summon letter of Personality Test of candidates being called for interview can be downloaded from the Commission’s website (http://www.jkpsc.nic.in) from November 20, 2019.
