SKIMS resident doctors association demand suspension of fellow over his ‘killing’ post

Srinagar, Feb 16: Resident Doctor Association SKIMS has urged Director institute to suspend a doctor over his facebook post saying that Kashmir doesn’t need a healing touch but a ‘killing touch.

The doctor has been identified as Dr Amit Sharma, DM scholar cardiology at the Soura Institute.

The complaint against the doctor has been filed by Resident doctor association and has urged the authorities to put the said doctor on immediate suspension.

“We condemn such acts and demand legal action as per law against the same at the earliest,” the resident doctors said.

The doctors association has demanded suspension of Sharma with immediate effect as ‘he can be a threat to patients he may be attending to’.

“The post itself speaks of his hatred and communalism against Kashmiris. How such a person could be entrusted to treat the sick and needy people of Kashmir,” said the doctors.

The doctors said that matter may be put forthwith cyber Police cell and a proper enquiry and action be taken as per law.

The resident doctors of SKIMS have expressed deep anguish and anger against the said doctor and demanded the action at the earliest.
