London :Phil Neville has revealed that how much desperate his former Manchester United colleague Cristiano Ronaldo was to become the best player in the world. He told that current Juventus star used to train after the matches and then take ice baths at 3 am.

Ronaldo enjoyed a successful six-year spell with Manchester United in which he won three Premier League titles, two League Cup’s, an FA Cup and the Champions League.

During an interaction with BBC 5 Live, Neville spilled the beans about the Portuguese ace’s work ethic while his time at Old Trafford. He said he is the “hardest worker” he has ever come across.

He said: “He (Ronaldo) used to play European games, Champions League games, then go back to the training ground and have an ice bath at 3 in the morning.”

“And that’s why Roy Keane, Paul Scholes, (David) Beckham and (Ruud) Van Nistelrooy have the utmost respect for him,” he added.

Ronaldo earlier in the summer moved to Juventus from Real Madrid. His medical at Juventus revealed his fitness to be similar to that of a 20-year old boy.

The test by Juventus medical team revealed that he has a total body mass of 7 per cent. Incredibly for someone of his age, who would have recorded a 46 per cent.
Ronaldo has a muscle mass of 50 per cent.

The Portuguese skipper recorded the highest sprint in this year’s World Cup in Russia, a speed of 33.98 km per hour which is surely frightening for any team’s defence.
