Srinagar Sept 4: Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) State General Secretary Ashok Kaul on Tuesday asked workers to put up good show in the upcoming local body elections.
In a press release issued here, Koul said this during a party meeting held in Baramulla.
Addressing the meeting, Ashok Koul said local body elections are the grass root level of democracy in the country and people should realize the importance of these elections. He said If locals participate in these elections, all the development issues and challenges at local level could be countered
“BJP is committed for the development and welfare of the general public in Kashmir and for that dozens of schemes have been introduced,” said the Kaul in the press note.
“I wish to see our party workers as elected representatives in the upcoming elections,” desired the Koul in the press release.
Ex- VC SICOP Dr. Ali Mohamamd Mir said on the occasion that party has decided to undertake “Awami Rabta Muhim” at local body level. He said the purpose of doing this is to take stock of the ground problems of people and highlight the achievements of the Narendra Modi led government at the centre and BJP at the state.
Mir in the press release further said, “BJP is the only party committed for the welfare and development of people – including Kashmir valley,” he said, adding, the party believes in actions and commitment rather than “mere political gimmick.”
The meeting was organized by the BJP District President Baramulla DK Nehru in Baramulla. Nehru urged the party workers to be ready for upcoming local body elections and ensure party victory in upcoming local body elections.
