PM-KISAN scheme expected to benefit 15000 beneficiaries in Srinagar

Srinagar, Feb 24: The Pradhan Mantri Kissan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme was Sunday launched in Srinagar as part of the nationwide launch by Prime Minister Narendra Modi who launched it from Gorakhpur in UP.
Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary launched the scheme at a function at Banquet Hall here.
The scheme aimed at addressing farm distress is expected to benefit some 15000 beneficiaries in the district.
The DC while speaking on the occasion said some 60 teams comprising members from Agriculture, Horticulture and Revenue departments were constituted to identify the eligible beneficiaries under the scheme.
He interacted with the farmers present on the occasion and noted their concerns and assured of their earliest possible redress.

 

Rs 8 Cr transferred to 40000 farmers as first installment: DC Bandipora

Bandipora, Feb 24: Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Shahbaz Mirza Sunday launched the ambitious Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme transferring the first installment of Rs 2,000 each to over 40,000 farmers in Bandipora district.
Following the launch of the scheme at national level by Prime Minster Narendra Modi, the Deputy Commissioner formally launched the scheme during an awareness program that was attended by the marginal farmers of the district.
Deputy Commissioner Bandipora said an amount of Rs 8 crores have been transferred as the first installment under the scheme directly in the accounts of about 40,000 farmers of the district while the process of uploading the left out farmers is in progress. He said the first instalment of the left out farmers shall be transferred soon after uploading their data.
While interacting with the farmers, DC Bandipora said the scheme has been made foolproof by connecting it with Adhaar to avoid duplicity and assured them that the scheme will be implemented with complete transparency. He exhorted upon concerned authorities of agriculture department to register the left-out beneficiaries within stipulated time period.
He said the programme is part of the government’s effort to address farm sector distress, caused by lower sales realisation on bumper production of food grains, and horticulture crops.
Assistant Commissioner Revenue Reyaz Ahmad Beigh, Tehsildar Headquarters and other senior officers were also present on the occasion.

 

65000 verified farmers to get PM- KISAN scheme benefits in Budgam

Budgam, Feb 24: A daylong awareness programme on PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme (PM KISAN) was held today where Deputy Commissioner, Budgam Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar distributed certificates among dozens of farmers.
On the occasion, DC said that 65000 farmers have been verified and updated to get the first installment benefits under the scheme across the district. She lauded the concerned departments including Revenue and Agriculture for their expeditious work in coming up with the list in short span of time.
She said the scheme launched is to encourage and support farmers financially to boost them for farming. She said that it is an additional step ahead for the recognition of farmers and engage them in the development process.
Among others, the programme was attended by the ADDC Budgam, Khurshid Ahmad Sanai, ACR Budgam Zaffar Shawl, Chief Agriculture Officer Budgam, Shabir Ahmad Allaqband, Tehsildar Budgam Nusrat and various other officials of Revenue, Agriculture and other concerned departments.

 

PM-KISAN scheme lunched in Pulwama

PULWAMA, FEBRUARY 24: District Development Commissioner Dr Syed Abid Rashid Shah today launched Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM KSN) here at Pulwama.
In this regard, a function was organised by Department of Agriculture Pulwama.
In his speech, DDC said that PM -KISAN is a revolutionary scheme which aims to transform the lives of small and marginal farmers, by providing them assured monetary support in three installments every year.
While interacting with farmers DDC hailed the contribution of various sectors like agriculture, horticulture, poultry and saffron cultivation in boosting the economy of the District. He stressed upon farmers to adopt best practices and latest technology in farming so that Pulwama becomes a success story throughout the country.
DDC said the scheme aims at addressing the distress among the farmers caused due to adverse weather and weak prices and is having a potential to augment the income of farmers.
DDC reiterated his commitment to make Pulwama a role model in good governance and public outreach programmes. DC said that the priority of his administration is to connect people with the Government institutions.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Agricultural Officer Pulwama Mohammad Yousuf Shah, briefed the farmers about the salient features of the PM KISAN. While as Additional Deputy Commissioner Tral also highlighted the importance of the scheme and said that in District Pulwama near about 40,803 farmers have been registered under this scheme so far.
Later on, DDC also distributed certificates to select farmers under the scheme.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Tral, District Agriculture Officer, Tehsildars, sub Division Agriculture officer Kakapora, other zonal Agriculture officers and hundreds of the farmers from the district were present on the occasion.

 

DC Ganderbal launches PM KISAN

GANDERBAL, FEBRUARY 24:- District Development Commissioner Ganderbal, Hashmat Ali Khan today launched Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KSN) at an event organised in the premises of Agricultural Complex Duderhama Ganderbal.
The event was attended by the ADDC Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal, Joint Director Planning, Chief Agricultural Officer, District Agricultural Officer, field functionaries of the department, Panchs, Sarpanchs besides large number of farmers.
Highlighting the benefits of the scheme, the DDC said the scheme is meant for the marginalized and poor farmers that can benefit the farmer community hugely. Through this scheme eligible farmers will get Rs 6000 annually in three installments directly in their bank accounts and farmers can utilize that money for procurement of agricultural related tools and fertilisers, he added.
On the occasion, DDC handed certificates/sanction orders to several eligible farmers who will avail the benefits of the scheme.
The District Agricultural Officer informed that 27000 eligible farmer families have been uploaded in the district which will be benefited by this scheme.
Similar events were also organized at Agriculture blocks of Kangan and Tulmulla.

 

59423 farmers registered under the scheme in Kulgam

KULGAM, FEBRUARY 24: Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM- KISAN) scheme was today launched in district Kulgam at a function held here.
The function was attended by a large number of farmers of the District.
Speaking on the occasion, ACR Kulgam Mir Imtiyaz Ul Aziz said that the scheme will benefit the farmer community in broader context and a farmer can utilize this amount in procurement offertilizers and other essentials of farming.
On the occasion it was given out that 67189 applications have been received so far and 59423 have been digitized by the concerned in the district.
On the occasion sanction letters were distributed among the farmers who will avail the benefit of this scheme.
