Kupwara: A pharmacist was suspended in Kupwara district for refusing to serve food to Covid-19 patients.

District Administration Kupwara issued suspension order in favour of a Pharmacist (ISM) identified as Shabir Ahmed Lone deployed at Isolation Hospital in Kupwara.

   District Development Commissioner Kupwara, Ansul Garg confirmed that the Pharmacist has been suspended for his unruly behavior. “During the period of his suspension and till the completion of enquiry into this incident, he will remain attached with the officer of Sub-Divisional Magistrate Karnah,” he said.

Lone was deployed for duties at Covid-19 Hospital Kupwara for the newly established quarantine centre had refused to serve food to the patients, thereby causing inconvenience to them.

  CMO had sought strict action against the said Pharmacist.(KNT)
