Xiaomi’s Mi TV range of smart TVs in India is reportedly expanding soon, with the arrival of a new Mi TV 4A 50-inch model. The upcoming Mi TV model that debuted in China back in January last year offers 4K UHD display support. Notably, Xiaomi already sells its Mi TV 4A Pro 49-inch version in India but it comes with a full-HD (1080p) panel. The Mi TV 4A Pro 49 also recently received a price cut in the country and is currently available at Rs. 29,999.
Tipster Ishan Agarwal in a collaboration with MySmartPrice has revealed the launch information of the Mi TV 4A 50-inch model in India. Price of the new Mi TV version in India is remain a mystery for now. However, the TV is said to arrive soon.
To recall, the Mi TV 4A 50-inch model was launched in China last year with a price tag of CNY 2,399 (roughly Rs. 24,900). The TV sports a 4K UHD (3840×2160 pixels) display with a 60Hz refresh rate and support for HDR10+ HLG. The Mi TV 4A range also has a frameless design and comes with an integrated Mi TV Bar with 10 speakers, 2 wireless rear satellite speakers, and a subwoofer.
Xiaomi has also provided Dolby Atmos sound on the Mi TV 4A range with two up-firing speakers. Also, there is PatchWall UI on top of Android OS. The India variant of the Mi TV 4A 50-inch model is likely to debut as the Mi TV 4A Pro 50 running Android TV alongside offering the PatchWall experience.
The Mi TV 4A 50-inch model is powered by a 64-bit Amlogic L962 quad-core processor, paired with 2GB of RAM and 8GB of onboard storage. Connectivity options include i-Fi 802.11ac (2.4/5 GHz dual-band Wi-Fi), Bluetooth 4.2, Dolby, and DTS Audio. There are also three HDMI ports, two USB ports, AV input, ethernet port, and an S/PDIF audio output.
As we mentioned, Xiaomi recently reduced the price of the Mi TV 4A Pro 49 model to Rs. 29,999. The Mi TV 4A Pro 49 has a 49-inch full-HD display panel. Rest of its features are similar to the 50-inch model.

The Redmi Y3 has been launched alongside the Redmi 7 in India at an event in New Delhi. Redmi Y3 price in India, launch offers
The Redmi Y3 price in India starts at Rs. 9,999 for the 3GB RAM/ 32GB inbuilt storage variant, going up to Rs. 11,999 for the 4GB RAM/ 64GB inbuilt storage variant.
The new Xiaomi smartphone will be available in Bold Red, Elegant Blue, and Prime Black colour variants, and will go on sale from April 30 via Amazon India, Mi.com, and Mi Home stores. It will be made available via Mi Studio, Mi Stores, and preferred retail partners soon after.
Redmi Y3 launch offers include up to 1,120GB of 4G data from Airtel, as well as unlimited calling.
Redmi Y3 specifications
The dual-SIM (Nano) Redmi Y3 runs MIUI 10 based on Android 9.0 Pie. The smartphone sports a 6.26-inch HD+ (720×1520 pixels) display with a 19:9 aspect ratio, 2.5D glass, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 632 SoC coupled with either 3GB or 4GB of RAM.
In terms of optics, the Redmi Y3 bears a dual rear camera setup featuring a 12-megapixel primary camera with an f/2.2 aperture and 1.25-micron pixel size, while the secondary camera has a 2-megapixel depth-sensing sensor. The rear setup features phase detection autofocus (PDAF), electronic image stabilisation (EIS), and a dual-LED flash module.
On the front, the Redmi Y3 bears a 32-megapixel selfie camera with EIS, auto HDR, and an AI portrait mode. The Redmi Y3 offers 32GB or 64GB of inbuilt storage, depending on the variant, expandable via microSD card (up to 512GB) with its own dedicated card slot.
Connectivity options on the Redmi Y3 include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth v4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It measures in at 158.65×76.43×8.47mm, and weighs 180 grams. Sensors on board include an IR blaster and rear fingerprint sensor. The company is also touting P2i hydrophobic coating. It sports a 4,000mAh battery.
Intel 9th Gen Core H-series processors announced, targeted towards gamers and creators
Intel has launched the 9th generation of its Core H-series processors globally. The company is targetting these processors towards gamers and creators. The company has stated that manufacturers like Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo and MSI over the next few days will be launching new laptops powered by the new 9th generation Core H-series processors.
These processors include new Intel Core i5, Intel Core i7 and the unlocked Intel Core i9-9980HK processors. These come paired with Intel’s Wi-Fi 6 AX200 (Gig+) solution, which supports the latest Wi-Fi 6 for faster Wi-Fi speeds.
The company states that the new 9th Gen Intel Core i9-9980HK processor is the first processor to come with up to 5GHz Thermal Velocity Boost, 8 cores and 16 threads, and 16MB of Smart Cache. These processors also come with Intel’s Dynamic Tuning, which provides continuous performance optimisation for all types of laptops.
The new 9th Gen Intel Core mobile processors, according to the company will be able to deliver desktop level of gaming, even while the users are simultaneously streaming and recording heavy games like Total War: Warhammer II. For creators, the company states that the new processors are up to 54 per cent faster 4K video editing when compared to a three-year-old PC.
“Our new 9th Gen platform is designed to delight gamers, creators and performance users by giving them more of what they want. We are bringing desktop-caliber performance with up to 5 Ghz and 8 cores in a range of thinner systems and new level of connectivity with Wi-Fi 6 (Gig+) so users can game or create where they want.” said, Fredrik Hamberger, general manager of the Premium and Gaming Laptop Segments at Intel.
Intel has also made additions to the 9th Gen Intel Core desktop processor family. These include the new Pentium Gold, Celeron, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7 and Core i9 processors. This new lineup of desktop processors comes with up to 8 cores, 16 threads, 5 GHz maximum turbo frequency, 16 MB Intel Smart Cache and 40 platform PCIe lanes. It states that the new processors will be able to provide up to 47 per cent more FPS while playing games compared to the previous generation.
Xiaomi’s Himo T1 Electric Bicycle Touts 120km Range With a Price Tag of Rs. 30,700
Xiaomi is doubling down on its transportation offerings with the launch of the new Himo T1 electric bicycle, which can more accurately be described as an electric moped. Part of the company-backed Himo brand, the Himo T1 follows the launch of the company’s Himo V1 and Himo C20 folding e-bikes. The company has also introduced Mi Bicycle and Mi Electric Scooter in the past. The Himo T1 sports a simple design with 90mm wide tires, and includes features like one-button start, multi-function combination switch, and a digital display.
Listed on the company’s crowdfunding platform like other Himo e-bikes, Himo T1 carries a price-tag of CNY 2,999 (roughly Rs. 30,700) and will be shipped by Shanghai Ximo Electric Technology, which will also handle the after-sales support for the e-moped. It is expected to start shipping on June 4, 2019 in China. There is no word on whether the company plans to bring it to other markets.
As per the company listing, Xiaomi’s Himo T1 packs a li-ion battery with a total capacity of 14,000mAh with a nominal voltage of 48V, providing 14Ah/ 28Ah energy options. With the 14Ah option, the electric bicycle will be able to travel up to 60km, whereas the 28Ah option will last up to 120km.
Additionally, the company has included a front suspension fork, dual coilover rear suspension, hydraulic disc brake on the front, and drum brake on the rear. Xiaomi claims a dry braking distance of 4.5 metres. Further, the bike’s headlight is derived from the HIMO English Logo element and offers up to 18,000cd brightness. Like many mopeds, the Himo T1 also packs pedals but they are mostly present to make the bike legal as an electric bicycle.
There is no word on the top speed of the Himo T1. It weighs 53kg and measures 1515x665x1025mm. It will be released in three colours – Red, Gray, and White.
