MBBS student from Anantnag passes away in Bangladesh; family appeals to LG for facilitating return of her mortal remains

SRINAGAR: An MBBS student from Bijbehera died after she slipped from the terrace of her hostel in Bangladesh.

Identified as Khushboo Manzoor, she was studying at Khwaja Yunus Ali Medical College. She fell from the terrace yesterday and was rushed to hospital. She was put on a ventilator. However, she succumbed on Wednesday morning.

Family members have appealed to Jammu and Kashmir government to help them to bring her body back for the last rites

“I have Spoken to @OfficeOfLGJandK. Request. them to take immediate steps to help in bringing the body of the deceased back home frm Bangladesh for the last rites at her ancestral village. JK Admin is in touch with @MEAIndia & @ihcdhaka for repatriation of the body. @ByYatishYadav,” tweeted Nasir Khuehami, National Spokesman of the Jammu and Kashmir Students Association (JKSA).
