Srinagar, Nov 18: Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) chief Mehmood Shah has paid tribute to Al-Badr militants Yawer Ahmed and Nawaz Ahmed who were killed in a gunfight with government forces at Reban village in Zainpora area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district.
A spokesperson of LeT Dr Abdullah Ghaznavi in a statement issued to GNS quoted Shah as saying that “the martyrs have played a pivotal role in exposing the Indian aggression before the world”.
“It is the honour of the martyrs to retaliate against the unjust occupation and to fight for their fundamental rights,” he said.
Mehmood Shah said New Delhi has never been able to suppress the indigenous freedom struggle through force, nor will it bear any success in future.
Terming the 2019 elections as “drama”, LeT chief said India sees terrorists every now and then.
This is the propaganda and through such vicious tactics, Government of India wants to secure vote bank by sowing the seeds of hatred between Muslims and Hindus.
“Muslims in poor plight are killed in fake encounters so as to convince the Indian public that they have in fact targeted terrorism. How are they terrorists when they did not commit any crime? The Indian policy of hatred will shake its very foundation,” he said.
Mehmood Shah said that if Ram Temple is built on Babri Masjid then Babri Masjid will be built again at the same place in future. “Therefore, Indian forces must come to their senses and quit Kashmir,” he said.
