Leopard found dead in Buffliaz forest

Poonch, Dec 14: A leopard was found dead in forest area, near the Peer Panjal Region in Buffliaz area of Surankote tehsil in Poonch district on Friday.
Sources told the media that some villagers noticed the dead body of full grown leopard lying in the bushes in Buffliaz forest area of Surankote and informed concerned officials.
Soon the wildlife officials reached the spot and shifted the carcass to Surankote.
Later postmortem was conducted by the veterinary doctors at Surankote in presence of Tehsildar and later buried its body.
Incharge Wild Life Chief Warden, Rajouri-Poonch Range, Mushtaq Ahmad said that he has taken cognizance of the matter.
