Kashmir: Woodcarving hit by communication blockade

Woodcarving, as a semi business sector, has been heavily impacted by the ongoing social media clampdown in Kashmir. In absence of vital communication channels, the artisans say they have lost most of their clients, who they used to communicate via Whatsapp and other social media platforms. The artisans appeal to the government for a compensation package to rejuvenate this otherwise sinking trade.
