A mother-son tourist duo from Mumbai stuck in Kashmir since March 5 are being hosted by a Kashmiri family. Javid Ahmad, the Mumbai resident, and his mother Khatijah had traveled to Kashmir as tourists in March.
The two could not return as the country enforced strict lockdown in view of the ongoing coronavirus. While they both tested negative for coronavirus, the administration had asked them to remain in quarantine at a government facility. However, one Pampora resident, Nazir Ahmad Sheikh decided to step in and be an example of hospitality Kashmir is famous for. He welcomed the two in his home and is hosting them very well during this lockdown.
