Srinagar: In view of prevailing situation, the final of the Kashmir Invitation Football Cup 2018 could not be played at the TRC ground and hence both the contenders Real Kashmir FC and Punjab Minerva FC were declared joint winners.
It was decided by the organizers of the tournament J&K Football Association to declare both finalists as joint winners of the tournament.
Owing to their opening I-League fixture in Panchkula later this week, Punjab based Minerva FC had to travel back to their home city for final preparations ahead of their eagerly awaited clash in the I-League first round.
There was a brief awards ceremony organized by J&K Sports Council and JKFA earlier on Tuesday in which both teams were felicitated, including the officials and organizing committee members.
