Syllabus reduced for class 10, 12 students in Jammu and Kashmir

Principal Secretary, school education department, Asgar Hassan Samoon Friday announced reduction in the syllabus of class 10 and 12 in Jammu and Kashmir.

“Syllabus for 10+2 classes exams reduced to 70 % for JKUT,” Samoon tweeted while adding in comments: this also applies for 10th class syllabus for exams.

The reduction in syllabus happens when all educational institutions have been shut in J&K since March due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Schools and colleges are conducting online classes, which, however are not proving to be a long-term alternative for classroom learning.
