JKLF(H) pays rich tributes to GN Mir, GawKadal martyrs
Srinagar, Jan 19 : JKLF (H) on Saturday paid rich tributes to Gulam Nabi Mir father of JKLF (H) Chairman Javid Ahmad Mir and martyrs of Gow Kadal. In a statement issued here, Mir, while addressing the meeting said, “At the very inception of resistance movement in Kashmir 1988, Indian Security Forces (BSF) during the night raid arrested Gulam Nabi Mir in the 1988 and took him along to notorious BSF Interrogation Centre PAPA-2. Due to non-bearable torture for about one year ailing Ghulam Nabi Mir got involved in various ailments.” “After serious ailment, he was shifted to Central Jail Srinagar, wherein he suffered from paralysis. He was shifted from Central Jail to SKIMS Soura wherein he breathed his last on 21 January 1992, thus joining the list of martyrs of Kashmir who presented their precious lives for the cause of Right to Self Determination,” said Javid Mir. “It proved that my father devoted his life for the cause of Kashmir Struggle,” Mir said. He said it is our responsibility to safeguard the sacrifices of Kashmir people who gave their lives only for right to self-determination.
