Pulwama, July 31: Combined Forces picked up a local youth from Rohmu village during a night raid accused of sympathizing with militants, a charge vehemently refuted by the family of the arrested youth.

Locals from Rohmu village of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district said that Government Forces comprising Army soldiers from 53 Rashtriya Rifles and SOG Pulwama raised the house of late Muhammad Ashraf Wani and picked up his son Mudasir Ahmed.

When locals approached army camp, they were informed that Mudasir has been handed over to local police.

SSP Pulwama Chowdary Muhammad Aslam told CNS that Mudasir has been picked up for questioning. “There are inputs that he is a militant sympathizer and is hobnobbing with them,” he said.

The family of the youth however refuted the charges saying that Mudasir is running a private body building centre and he has nothing to do with militants or militancy.
