New Delhi: All India Football Federation president Praful Patel said that the new coach of the Indian men’s team would be appointed at the earliest.
AIFF has received more than 250 applications for the top job, which was left vacant after Stephen Constantine resigned. “The appointment will be made as soon as possible, maybe at the end of this month,” Patel said.
Among the 250-odd applicants, sources said 35 were well-known names from Europe and elsewhere. “If the candidate fulfils the criteria then we can think of appointing a big name,” the AIFF chief said.
