Taapsee Pannu is currently shooting for Saand Ki Aankh, a film based on world’s oldest sharpshooters Chandro and Prakashi Tomar, and the actor says she decided to do the project as the story touched her heart.
The film chronicles the story of the two women from Uttar Pradesh, played by Taapsee and Bhumi Pednekar.
While Chandro has more than 30 national championships to her credit, Prakashi is said to be world’s second oldest shooter.
“When I do a film, I relate to one thing in a character to start off but here there is not a single thing I can relate to. My age, background, the language is not similar, I am not fond of shooting as well.
“Everything is alien to me. But it is a beautiful script that touched my heart and I couldn’t say no to it. If this film works then people will remember us for life or maybe they will laugh at us,” Taapsee told PTI.
The actor said her role in the film is taxing both physically and mentally.
“I spent a few weeks learning shooting. The most taxing thing was to get the body language of a 60-65 year-old woman right. They are Haryanvi but based out of UP, there is an interesting crossover of Haryanvi and Hindi of UP. But we had to keep it simple for the audiences to understand.
“My Hindi is good because I have lived in Delhi. I have heard Haryanvi before but never tried speaking it. It was a challenge to learn it. I had to behave like a mother and grandmother. These are the emotions I have never experienced. Every scene is a challenge,” she added.
Taapsee said in about 85 percent of the film, the audience will see them as 60-year-old women.
The film is produced by Reliance Entertainment, Anurag Kashyap and Nidhi Parmar and directed by debutante Tushar Hiranandani.
Taapsee is also working on Mission Mangal with Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan and Game Over in south.
Lenovo Z6 Pro With AI-Powered Quad-Camera Setup, Snapdragon 855 Launched
Lenovo Z6 Pro is now official. After a flurry of teasers and promos, the Chinese computing giant announced the Lenovo Z6 Pro at a press event in China. The phone succeeds the company’s Z5 Pro which was launched in November last year with a slider design. In the Z6 Pro, Lenovo has decided to go for a waterdrop-style notch instead of a slider. The phone sports a 3D curved glass back with Gorilla Glass protection which is available on the front as well. Other highlights of the Lenovo Z6 Pro include an AI-powered quad-camera setup, next-generation in-display fingerprint sensor, a liquid-cooling system, and Snapdragon 855 SoC.
Lenovo Z6 Pro price, sale date
Lenovo Z6 Pro has been priced starting CNY 2,899 (roughly Rs. 30,000) in China for the 6GB + 128GB variant. The 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 512GB variants will retail at CNY 2,999 (roughly Rs. 31,000), CNY 3,799 (roughly Rs. 39,000), and CNY 4,999 (roughly Rs. 51,000) respectively.
The company will also be bringing a 5G variant of the Lenovo Z6 Pro to China in partnership with three major Chinese telecom operators. The pricing and exact availability details of the 5G version are a mystery right now.
The registrations for the phone are now open in China, however the first sale will be conducted at 10am local time, April 29. According to Lenovo, it will be offering the phone in two colour options – Black and Blue.
There is no word on the international availability of the Lenovo Z6 Pro at this point

Lenovo Z6 Pro runs on Android 9 Pie with ZUI 11 on top, which includes a number of software enhancements like Game Turbo mode, U-Touch, U Health, and more.
The dual-SIM (Nano) Lenovo Z6 Pro sports a 6.39-inch AMOLED display with support for DC dimming and HDR 10. There is also an in-display fingerprint sensor, which comes with increase fingerprint recognition area, faster unlock support, and ability to even detect wet fingers. Face unlock support has also been added.
Lenovo Z6 Pro is powered by Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 855 SoC, coupled with Adreno 640 GPU and 6GB/ 8GB/ 12GB of RAM. Lenovo has also added PC-grade Coldfront liquid cooling system in the Z6 Pro for better heat dissipation and management.
On the imaging front, which is one of the key features of the Lenovo Z6 Pro, the smartphone comes with an AI-powered quad-camera setup with dual-LED flash. The camera setup houses a 48-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 lens, a 16-megapixel secondary sensor with a wide-angle-lens, 8-megapixel sensor with a telephoto lens, and a 2-megapixel sensor. ToF (Time of Flight) camera as well as PDAF sensor have been included as well. The company has also packed optical image stabilisation and a number of AI-powered camera features in the phone like Super Night Scene, Super Macro, Super Wide Angle, Super Body, and Dual Scene.
Additionally, the new Lenovo phone packs a 32-megapixel selfie shooter on the front.
Further, the phone features up to 512GB of onboard storage. Among the connectivity options, Lenovo has added 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, dual-frequency GPS, a USB Type-C port. The phone also supports LDAC, AAC, and aptX HD audio codecs as well as Dolby Atmos.
Lastly, there is a 4,000mAh battery onboard, which supports 27W fast charging as well as reverse charging.
Jio GigaFiber to Offer Broadband, Landline, TV Combo at Rs. 600 a Month: Report
Reliance Jio GigaFiber is set to bring a broadband-landline-TV combo service at an as low monthly charge as Rs. 600, according to a media report. Jio GigaFiber is also reported to offer the option to connect at least 40 devices to its smart home network for up to Rs. 1,000. The Mumbai-based telco launched Jio GigaFiber broadband service in August last year, but it is currently available in select regions. Subscribers are required to pay a sum of Rs. 4,500 as a one-time security deposit.
At the present stage, Jio GigaFiber is available under a preview offer for consumers with 100GB of data access every month at a speed of 100Mbps. A report by Mint, citing a person familiar with the development, however, says that Reliance Jio is in plans to expand Jio GigaFiber with a broadband-landline-TV combo at Rs. 600 a month. Under the new service, it is said that the operator will offer unlimited voice calls and 600 TV channels alongside the existing 100Mbps broadband service.
The landline and television services to Jio GigaFiber consumers are said to be available in the next three months, and these will remain free for about a year — just like the existing broadband service.

Reliance Jio is reported to power the combo service through an Optical Network Terminal (ONT) router. This is likely to be the same box router that the company is giving to its initial broadband subscribers. Moreover, the router is said to connect 40-45 devices, including mobile phones, smart TVs, laptops, and connected devices.
To add 40 additional devices to the smart home network created by Jio GigaFiber, consumers are said to pay up to Rs. 1,000. It is also said that the network would also enable storing CCTV footage and other data on the cloud.
The latest report corroborates the development of a triple play plan that was spotted last month to offer access to Jio GigaFiber, Jio Home TV, and Jio Apps in a single monthly package. Also, it is worth pointing out that the arrival of the combo service to counter what has so far been offered by broadband players in India was first reported in May last year.

Xiaomi Launches New Mi TV Range With Slim-Frame Design
Xiaomi last year launched the Mi TV range in India, which has since become one of the most successful affordable TV ranges in the country. Although the first product to launch was the Mi TV 4 with a 55-inch 4K screen and smart connectivity, the company has since launched more affordable products as well. The company has now revealed its latest products in China, a new range of Mi TVs with a slim-frame design. The new TVs in the E-series and Mi Art-series range in size from 32 inches to 65 inches.
The new TV range has been teased on Chinese social media portal Weibo by Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun. The range has been teased for its slim frame and full-screen design, which is similar to the design language on the Xiaomi Mi MIX range of smartphones. The post explains that this is possible because of a new design that has the screen on the middle frame, rather than encased within the outer frame.
The post also teases the pricing of the range, with the 32-inch Mi E32A TV expected to retail at CNY 1,099 (approximately Rs. 11,400) in China. Other sizes for the new range include 43-inch Mi E43A TV at CNY 1,999 (approximately Rs. 20,700), 55-inch Mi E55C TV at CNY 2,999 (approximately Rs. 31,100), and 65-inch Mi E65A TV at CNY 3,999 (approximately Rs. 41,500). The 32-inch variant has an HD resolution, the 43-inch variant has a full-HD resolution, while the 55-inch and 65-inch variants have 4K resolutions with HDR support.
All of the E-series TVs are smart TVs, with Xiaomi’s Patchwall OS interface. They also have Dolby Audio and DTS HD tuning for sound, up to 16W of sound output, up to 2GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage, 1.5GHz processor, and connectivity through Wi-Fi and Ethernet. The TVs also come with Bluetooth remotes.
Xiaomi has also launched the Mi Art TV or Mi Mural TV, which comes in a single 65-inch size option and is priced at 6,999 Yuan (approximately Rs. 72,700). The new 4K HDR TV is similar to the Samsung The Frame TV, with an art mode that shows pictures and artwork when the TV isn’t in use. The TV also has a 1.8GHz processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of inbuilt storage, 24W of sound output, and runs Patchwall OS.
Xiaomi earlier this year launched a new range of ‘Pro’ TVs in India, along with the Rs. 4,999 Xiaomi Mi Soundbar, which is one of the most affordable speakers of its kind in the country. It isn’t clear when these new TVs will be coming to India, but it’s possible that Xiaomi will launch its E-series in the coming months.
