Elderly TeH leader slapped with PSA, shifted to KotBalwal

Srinagar, Sep 2: A 65-year-old Tehreek-e-Hurriyat leader Muhammad Ramzan Sheikh has been detained under PSA and shifted to KotBalwal jail Jammu.

Sheikh, a resident of Qaimoh in Kulgam district in southern Kashmir was released last month after serving two years detention under the draconian Public Safety Act. He was arrested at the peak of 2016 summer uprising.

Sources said that Sheikh was arrested by Jammu and Kashmir Police on Friday and was slapped with a PSA. “He has been shifted to KotBalwal jail Jammu,” they said.

Meanwhile, the sources in TeH said that the chairperson of the pro-freedom organisation Mubammad Ashraf Sehrai has denounced the slapping of PSA on Sheikh.
