Edu Deptt condoles death of teacher, students in Ramban mishap

Srinagar, Oct07: The Department of Education has expressed grief and sorrow over the death of a teacher and two students in the Ramban accident yesterday in which over twenty people lost their lives.

In a statement here, Secretary School Education Ajeet Kumar Sahu, Director School Education Kashmir (DSEK), Dr. G.N. Itoo  and Director School Education Jammu (DSEJ) Rakesh Kumar Srangal condoled the death of a teacher Mudassir  Ahmad, who was posted at High School Chanjaloo Zone  Banihal   and two students of Higher Secondary School Ramban —Sunil Singh and Irfan Suleman.

Secretary Education said that the Department stands with the family members of the deceased in this hour of grief. He directed Chief Education Officer Ramban to ensure all possible help to the bereaved families.

DSEK and DSEJ besides other officers of the Department, teaching fraternity and others have also expressed shock over the loss of lives and prayed for the eternal peace to the departed souls.
