DC Budgam takes stock of healthcare facilities in Chadoora, Charari Sharief

BUDGAM, AUGUST 30: District Development Commissioner Budgam, Tariq Hussain Ganai, today conducted an extensive tour of Chadoora and Charari Sharief towns to take stock of healthcare facilities being provided to patients at Sub- District Hospitals and Primary Health Centers there.

ADC Budgam, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani, SDM Chadoora, Aziz Ahmad and other concerned accompanied the DDC.

On the occasion, the DDC inspected SDH Chadoora, SDH Nagam, SDH Charari Sharief, SDH Pakherpora and other local health centers.

The DDC inspected various wards including Gynae, Vaccine and Injection Section, Pediatric, Emergency, ECG and Post Operation wards at these health centres besides met various patients and enquired about healthcare facilities being provided to them.

While addressing a monthly meeting and workshop regarding Rota Virus Vaccine at SDH Chadoora, the DDC laid emphasis on punctuality and implementation of duty roster by doctors and para-medical staff in letter and spirit.

At SDH Nagam, the DDC said that the hospital shall soon be provided 24/7 electricity facility for the smooth functioning of the insttitue. He also assured that hospital road shall be macadamized at an earliest as demanded by locals.

The DDC said that SDH Pakherpora will be shifted to new building soon to ensure better health services are provided to the locals.  During his visit to SDH Charari  Sharief, the DDC directed concerned to ensure cleanliness, proper sanitation and maintaining of hospital movable property for better patient care.

The DDC also visited various private medical stores and took on spot stock of availability of medicines, vaccine and other drug items for the patients. 

Later, the DDC also visited Fruit Mandi Charari Sharief where he took stock of arrangements and services being provided to the fruit growers and dealers for hassle-free passage of their yield to outside J&K.

He met a delegation of Fruit Growers and assured them that all their genuine grievances would be resolved amicably. The DDC said that a 24/7 landline phone service facility will be provided at Fruit Mandi for easy access of communication with other dealers. He also directed concerned completion of ramp work at an earliest.

Meanwhile, the DDC also visited shrine of Sheikh Noor ud din Noorani (R.A) and Shrine of Syed Ali Aali Balkhi (R.A) in Pakherpora and paid obeisance at both the places. He also met local Intizamia Committees and listened to their demands. The DDC directed concerned to start expansion work at entrance, installation of solar lights, proper sanitation and wooden flooring at Pakherpora Shrine.

The DDC also visited Mono- Water Treatment Plant at Pakherpora and took stock of drinking water supply. He directed concerned to ensure completion of pending work to ensure supply of safe drinking water to all the uncovered areas in Pakherpora.
