COVID19: 12 more test positive, toll mounts to 380 in J&K

Srinagar: Twelve more cases of coronavirus were detected on Tuesday taking the number of positive cases in J&K to 380.

“The total number of COVID19 cases in Jammu & Kashmir is 380, including 294 active cases. Of the active cases, 256 are from the Kashmir division and 38 are from the Jammu division, “Government Spokesperson Rohit Kansal said during a press conference in Jammu.

He further said that 92 areas have been identified and designated as red zones in the Union Territory (UT), 14 are in Jammu and 78 are in Kashmir.

“ These red zones will be under stricter restrictions on movement, surveillance and will have enhanced testing,” he said.

Till Monday , 61774 travellers and persons in contact with suspected cases have been enlisted for surveillance which include 6463 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 229 in Hospital Quarantine, 292 in hospital isolation and 20115 under home surveillance.

Besides, 34670 persons have completed their surveillance period.
