Srinagar: Aug 9: State Crime Branch Kashmir registered a Case FIR No. 32/2018 U/S 420,468,471, 120-B RPC P/S CBK against tenant Mohammad Amin Gojwari S/O Mohammad Sultan Gojwari R/O Saria Payeen Amira Kadal and Khursheed Ahmad Shah S/O Mohammad Sadiq Shah R/O Maharaja Bazar who hatched a criminal conspiracy with (1) Rakesh Kumar Sharma, (2) Rajesh Kumar Ss/o Late Dwarka Nath Sharma R/o A/P Darshanigate Katra Jammu thereby managed insertions in the original property documents (Sale Deed) which was registered with Court of Sub-Registrar Srinagar.
The property three-story building with shops which was purchased by the complainant Mst. Wazira from Smt. Chandra Wd/o Dwarkinath R/o Marahaja Bazar Srinagar A/P New Plots Jammu in 1996. The tenants have made insertions in connivance with the sons of erstwhile owner of the said property namely Rakesh Kumar Sharma & Rajesh Kumar Sharma S/sO late Dwarki Nath Sharma R/O AP Darshanigate Katra Jammu fraudulently and dishonestly to grab the property of the complainant which is actually in the possession of the complainant and mutated/transferred in the name of the complainant in revenue records. The investigation of the case has been taken up and is in progress.
Improve teaching, research progs in Uni: Guv to VC SKUAST-K
Srinagar, Oct 22: Governor Satya Pal Malik, Chancellor of the Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K) on Monday urged the University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Nazeer Ahmed, to ensure high attention is paid to improving the teaching programmes and research work in the University.
The Governor said this in his meeting with the Vice-Chancellor, (SKUAST-K), who called at Chancellor of the University, at the Raj Bhavan here today.
In an official press release issued here, the Governor urged the Vice-Chancellor to ensure that high attention is paid, on sustained basis, for improving the teaching programmes and achieving tangible outcomes in all the research areas.
Earlier, the Vice-Chancellor apprised the Governor about the overall growth witnessed by the University in recent years, besides various other expansion projects underway in the University. Besides, matters relating to University lands lying with the security forces, need for additional lands to establish apple nursery and KVKs , allocation of financial resources, re-organisation of available staff strength, filling up of vacant posts of scientific staff and implementation of academic reforms were also discussed.
Principal Secy Fin chairs JKIDFC Board of Dirs meet
Srinagar, Oct 22: Principal Secretary of Finance, Navin K Choudhary, Monday chaired the second meeting of the Board of Directors of Jammu and Kashmir Infrastructure Development Finance Corporation Limited (JKIDFC) at his office chambers here.
Navin K Choudhary, who is also the CMD of JKIDFC, reviewed the progress on 556 languishing projects that have already been approved for financing by the Corporation. Besides, other internal issues were also discussed in the meeting.
Directors of JKIDFC, Shailendra Kumar Principal Secretary, Industries and Commerce, Khursheed Ahmed Shah Commissioner Secretary PWD and Farooq Ahmad Shah Secretary PHE, I&FC, Executive Director, Nazim Zia Khan, General Manager, JKIDFC, Shafaat Yehaya and other officers also attended the meeting.
The Finance Secretary asked the PWD to designate the Chief Engineer as head of the Project Implementing Agency. He said the agency will have a separate escrow account.
During the meeting, Navin was briefed by officers about the activities of the Corporation. A committee was later constituted comprising of Executive Director, General Manager, Project Manager and Finance Head to work out a business plan and frame the policy for incurring expenditure with proper budgeting.
The Board cleared the appointment of Nimisha Abrol as Project Manager IT, JKIDFC and also gave a go-ahead for establishing a well-furnished and fully-equipped registered office of the Corporation.
The Board also gave consent for hiring of personnel for running day-to-day affairs of the Corporation including a Consultant Finance who should be of the rank of retired DG, Accounts and Treasuries along with other staff.
The meeting also resolved to utilize the services of agencies for maintenance and upkeep of assets of the Corporation, housekeeping staff, etc. Consent of the Board of Directors was also given for confirming design of the logo for the Corporation, besides other issues.
Adv Vyas reviews progress on job package for Kashmiri migrants
Srinagar, Oct 22: Advisor to Governor B B Vyas Monday convened a meeting with senior officers of Law and other departments to discuss issues related to job package for Kashmiri migrants under PMDP.
The meeting also discussed various issues facing by PoK refugees.
The meeting was attended by Secretary Disaster Management Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction (DMRRR), Farooq Ahmad Shah, Secretary Law Abdul Majid and and other senior officers.
The Advisor was briefed about the status of court cases of the special job package announced by Centre for Kashmiri migrants.
The Advisor stressed that legal proceedings should be expedited for disposal of these court cases.
The Advisor directed that all the pending issues of PoK refugees should be resolved on priority.
He also directed that residential quarters for Kashmiri Migrants should be renovated.
