BSF foils smuggling bid along IB in Jammu’s Arnia sector

Seizes arms, ammunition and 58 packets of narcotics


Jammu:The Border Security Force (BSF) foiled a major attempt to smuggle arms, ammunition and narcotics into India territory in Arnia area during the intervening night of September 19 and 20.

According to a BSF spokesman, the troops of Border Out Post (BOP) Budhwar/Bullechak observed suspicious movement of a Pakistan man near the IB in Arnia area during the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday. BSF troops opened fire and foiled their attempt, the spokesman said.

During thorough search of the area this morning, 58 packets of narcotics, two pistols, four magazines and some ammunition were seized.
