Biometric attendance system to ensure punctuality: Dir Agri

SRINAGAR, JUNE 23: Director Agriculture Kashmir Syed Altaf Aijaz Andrabi today said the installation of biometric attendance system will ensure punctuality of the employees of the department and strengthen the work culture.
He said the step would eventually help in addressing the issues of farmers at an earliest in a pro-active manner.
The Director Agriculture stated this at a meeting held here at Lalmandi Srinagar to overview the implementation of biometric attendance system at the department offices.
He asked the controlling officers/ drawing and disbursing officers to ensure implementation of biometric attendance system in their offices and strictly adhere to the instructions issued by the Government in this regard. He impressed upon that no officer shall leave the office without proper permission from the competent authority.
He said that disciplinary action under J&K Civil Service Rules will be taken against the officials found indulging in negligence of their duties.
All Joint Directors, Divisional level Officers of the department and other concerned attended the meeting.
