B.ed trainees of CUK organises sanitation drive

Srinagar, Oct 16: B.ed trainees of Central University of Kashmir(CUK) organised a sanitation drive at Government Girls / Boys high School Chattabal to create awareness about hygiene among the students.

The drive was conducted under the supervision of Prof Shagufta Rehman and Prof Nighat Basu, who is the coordinator of CUK’s Teacher education, school of education.” Around 50 students  participated in the drive. A lecture on sanitation and personal hygiene was also conducted during the drive, ” said Prof Shagufta Rehman.

She said the focus of the drive was to spread the message of a clean and green environment by ensuring cleanliness in the government schools.

Describing the sanitation drive as a significant step, Rehman said that such drives are much needed.” It was successful and  created a realization that every student is responsible for maintaining a hygiene and clean environment.” ” Our main which aims to ensure a better and healthy environment for the students especially who are studying in government schools with streamlined cleanliness and awareness activities,” said one of the B.ed trainees.
