Srinagar, Sep 28: Former finance Minister and senior PDP leader Syed Altaf Bukhari on Friday welcomed the suggestion of a civil society group for tie up between NC and PDP for formation of a new government in Jammu and Kashmir to strongly defend Article 35-A and to fight communal forces.

“The suggestion of J&K Civil Society Coordination Committee for alliance of National Conference and PDP for formation of a new government for fighting strongly in favour of Article 35-A and challenges to Article 370 are welcome,” news agency KNS quoted Altaf saying.

However, he, as per the news agency, made it clear that the tie-up between NC and PDP for formation of a new government are his personnel views and not of the party.

Altaf also condemned the killing of youth on Thursday reiterating “the killing of youth was a cold blooded murder.”

He regretted central governments discouraging response to the offer of dialogue from Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, saying that it is very unfortunate that the offer of dialogue from Pakistan was not responded well by the present central government.

As already reported J&K Civil Society Coordination Committee leaders including Muzafar Shah (Awami National Conference), Advocate Mir Javaid and Jagmohan Singh Raina has urged National Conference and PDP to form a new government to fight strongly in favour of Article 35-A and challenges to Article 370 in Supreme Court of India.
