Team Kedarnath – Filmmaker Abhishek Kapoor and Pragya Kapoor are all set to explore the comic genre in association with Bhushan Kumar and T-series, combine forces for forthcoming comedy drama titled Sharaabi.
Director Abhishek Kapoor will next make a comedy film on an alcoholic. Titled Sharaabi, it will be produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and Pragya Kapoor’s Guy in the Sky Pictures.
The official handle of T-series confirmed the film a little while ago on social media. It said, “@itsBhushanKumar and @Abhishekapoor mark their first collaboration with a comedy-drama titled #Sharaabi. Directed by Abhishek Kapoor, the film goes on floors soon. @gitspictures @pragyadav_”
It will be the first outing of Bhushan Kumar and director Abhishek Kapoor. The film Sharaabi is a comic drama about a dysfunctional alcoholic, the film’s casting is underway and the pre-production is in full swing.
Bhushan Kumar also confirmed the film on his Twitter handle. He wrote, “#Sharaabi to go on floors soon. Excited to collaborate with @Abhishekapoor”
Meanwhile, Abhishek’s last directorial Kedarnath, which launched the Bollywood career of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s daughter Sara Ali Khan, earned over Rs 68 crore at the box office.
