75-Year-Old Man Succumbs to Burns in Srinagar

Srinagar, Jan 31: An elderly man was charred to death in Jawahar Nagar area of Srinagar on Wednesday evening, officials said.

An official told that the ground floor of a three-storey residential house was involved in a fire at Jawahar Nagar Srinagar.

He added that while clearing the fire debris, the F&ES official found the body identified as Bashir Ahmad (75), laying under the debris.

The body was taken to a nearby hospital for medico-legal formalities—(KNO)
