Srinagar, Mar 19: Detection of the maiden coronavirus positive case in Kashmir has triggered a slew of heightened precautionary measures from the authorities. The female patient from Srinagar’s old city area, who had travelled to Saudi Arabia recently, was tested positive for the virus Wednesday evening.
On Thursday morning, people in various parts of Srinagar woke up to curbs they gladly agreed to given the measure is to keep the deadly virus at bay.
Areas around Khanyar, Jama Masjid, Nowhatta, and Dalgate witnessed mild curbs, as security forces were allowing on those people who had medical or any genuine emergency.
