Srinagar: A veterinary doctor has gone missing in Kulgam even as his family claims he may have joined militant ranks.

Raja Nadeem, who has a Bachelors in veterinary sciences, is missing for a few days now. Frantic, his family has appealed him to return believing that he may have joined militant ranks.

“Send him back, please. Whoever he has joined, please send him back. Nadeem if you are listening to or watching this video, I beg you please return. Why have you abandoned me, why have you abandoned your sisters,” Nadeem’s mother is seeing sobbing in a video appeal gone viral on social media.

While reports said that Nadeem has a PhD as well, The Kashmir Monitor could only confirm him having a Bachelors in Veterinary Sciences.

“Plz send my son back…I have daughters…Is this why I made him a doctor? Nadeem your mother is a heart patient, who will take me to the doctor now? Please for God’s sake, come home,” the mother can be seen asking her son to return.

SSP Kulgam Gurindarpal Singh said Nadeem’s family has filed a missing report and the police are looking into it.
