Bandipora: The former Bandipora legislator Usman Majeed on Sunday resigned from the Congress party, saying that the formal resignation letter to the party will be sent by tomorrow.
Usman is one among the nearly two dozen leaders who have joined hands to structure a new political podium in Jammu and Kashmir, which would likely be formed in the first week of March. Majeed has announced his resignation during the convention today at Bandipora.
Majeed said that he will send a resignation letter to the party tomorrow, saying that this party is behind the sufferings of Kashmir people. “It’s because of this party that people have been suffering here from last seven decades, ” he added.
Majid had hinted parting ways with the Congress earlier this month when he removed the party identity from his official twitter handle—(KNO)
