Truck crushes nomad boy, several goats to death

Srinagar, Oct 19:A speedy truck on Friday crushed a nomad boy and his several goats to death at Batote-Kishtwar road in Chinab Valley, police official said.

A police official while talking to Kashmir News Service said that a nomad boy identified as Rehmatullah (25), son of Muhammad Yaqoob of Asar Doda was killed in a road mishap while as his eight goats were also killed by a speedy truck on Batote-Kishtwar road.

He said that the truck bearing registration number JKo2AS-9327 ran over a nomad boy when the deceased along with his goats was on his way to home from Kashmir.

Police official informed that the boy died on spot while scores of his goats were also injured in the mishap.

He informed that the truck driver identified as Basharat Ali, son of Muhammad Haneef of Garmal Doda was arrested while as his truck was also seized.

The policeman said that a case under FIR number 114/2018 under section 279, 304A has been registered in this regard.

Moreover, a team from animal and sheep husbandry department reached to the spot and treated the injured livestock there.
