Srinagar, Mar 3: Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation, Gazanfar Ali today conducted city tour.
During the tour, he visited various areas of the city including Achan Landfill Site and reviewed sanitation and other allied functions of the Corporation.
He was accompanied by the Joint Commissioner Works, Secretary SMC, Chief Sanitation Officer, Executive Engineers and other concerned.
The Commissioner was informed that for scientific management of garbage various measures are being taken at the site. He directed to increase capacity of Mechanical Segregator and composting plant being installed at the site.
He directed the concerned to ensure waste segregation at source throughout the city in a phased manner.
